I've often used the concept of having a male brain in a female body to describe my gender idenitity confusion, and the odd thing is that it might be true. Conditions on the Autistic spectrum, such as Asperger Syndrome which I may have, are said to be exaggerated versions of normal characteristics of the male brain.
Could it be that I'm on the autistic spectrum instead of being a female-to-male transsexual?

You may recognise the surname 'Baron-Cohen' in the below links, and you'd be right to think of a certain comedian. Professor Simon Baron-Cohen, who studies developmental psychological problems, is the cousin of Sacha Baron Cohen. Jagshemash!

Autism 'extreme male brain' clue

Finally, here's an amusing quiz that backs up the idea - apparently, I'm far more systemizing than empathic.
